FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- NAGSA held a Native Language Professional Development workshop, October 7-9, 2021in Flagstaff. Teachers, support staff, bus drivers, and residential hall staff were some of the participants. The awesome outcome, plans to implement Dine Language across the board in all schools and departments. We had a great turn out and these folks are creative in teaching the Dine language and culture to their students. Each participant also gave a presentation on their project that they are incorporating into their current lesson plans. NAGSA Board President, Rjay To'díchííni, was on hand to assist and gave a motivational speech. Royd Lee, NAGSA Superintendent, was the instructor and shared his cultural and traditional knowledge in teaching the Dine language. Below you will see some of the work that was completed.
